Just as the North Star has dependably guided explorers across seas and continents for thousands of years, our unchanging, millions year-old Evolved Nest, provides a baseline for “species-typical”, normal human lifeways. It follows the Cycle of Cooperative Companionship and a wellness-promoting pathway. Become Wellness- and Trauma-Informed
Teaching the Evolved Nest in a trauma-informed way is not just about parenting — it’s a collective invitation to: Rebuild trust in ourselves and our communities. Reconcile science with ancestral and Indigenous wisdom. Heal intergenerational trauma by restoring practices that align with our evolutionary design. Restore our connectedness to the rest of Nature so that we develop capacities to move with Nature instead of against it.

Nested Kinship is Kindred World’s umbrella term for the science of the Evolved Nest (Darcia Narvaez) and its resulting Kinship Worldview (Four Arrows). Nested Kinship frames the resulting unified theory of human consciousness: a ground-up, neurobiologically optimized relational awareness (shaped by the Evolved Nest’s nine components) that naturally cultivates top-down kinship-based perception of self, community, and Earth as one living system.

Discover Nested Kinship: How Are the Evolved Nest and Kinship Worldview Interrelated?
Nested Kinship is Kindred World’s umbrella term for the science of the Evolved Nest (Darcia Narvaez) and its resulting Kinship Worldview (Four Arrows). Nested Kinship frames the resulting unified theory of human consciousness: a ground-up, neurobiologically optimized relational awareness (shaped by the Evolved Nest’s nine components) that naturally cultivates top-down kinship-based perception of self, community, and Earth as one living system.
The Nested Kinship term was created to support the praxis learning experience of Nesting Ambassadors who no longer need to cognitively toggle between “Evolved Nest science” and “Kinship Worldview” in every conversation, checklist, or policy brief. One term encapsulates personal re-nesting and relational activism, community projects, and policy advocacy. This simplifies messaging in families, schools, workplaces, or healthcare—e.g., “We’re building Nested Kinship in our community” instead of explaining two frameworks.
